Sensationalism- the portrayal of stories in a way that is intended to provoke public interest or excitement, at the expense of accuracy.

Sensationalism + content = audiences = sales

Purpose: getting an audience to subscribe
How: using images, colours, and text
Why: tricking audiences for sales, political bias/ ideology
